Our Story

Challenging Harmful Practices

Tareto Africa is a leading grassroots organization dedicated to the absolute elimination of deep-rooted harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), child marriages and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Kenya. With a focus on advocacy and awareness creation, we work tirelessly to challenge and transform harmful norms that have persisted for generations.

Founded with a vision to uplift and empower pastoral communities such as Maasai in Kenya, Tareto Africa is committed to enhancing access to education, health, and humanitarian support. Our efforts extend beyond just advocacy; we are building resilient, self-reliant communities through comprehensive programs in education, climate action, and community development. By providing scholarships, mentorship,  free pads, rescue centres and life skills training, we ensure that children, women, and youth can thrive academically and personally.

We invite like-minded global partners to join us in extending our impact, fostering sustainable change that transcends borders and creates a brighter future for all.
